This course is among the broadest of our Mathematics courses. It gives you the chance, in year three, to choose modules from across our six specialist streams. We have over 50 optional modules, allowing you to choose your favourite areas of mathematics. Some topics in university-level mathematics are a direct continuation of those at A-level, but others will introduce you to new ways of thinking. These topics are concerned with the logical structure of arguments, proper definition of mathematical objects, design of sophisticated mathematical models, and legitimacy of computations. |
